Thank you for choosing Expertly ("we", "us", or "our"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Expertly mobile application and related services (the "Service").

Expertly is a service-booking platform available only in Israel, where users can offer and book in-person services (such as babysitting, cleaning, handyman services). Services are provided face-to-face and not online.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when using Expertly:

Personal Information

• First name and last name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Address (street, city, state/province, ZIP/postal code)

We do not collect precise GPS location data. Address information is provided manually by users and is used solely to match service providers with nearby customers.

Account & Service Information

• User profile information (such as services offered)
• Booking and transaction history
• Communications between users related to bookings

Communications

• Emails sent to you via Amazon Web Services (AWS WorkMail / SES)
• SMS messages (account activation only) sent via ActiveTrail (https://www.activetrail.co.il/)

Automatically Collected Information

We may collect limited technical information such as:

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• Log and crash information

We do not currently use analytics tools, but may introduce them in the future (e.g. Google Analytics for Firebase). If so, this policy will be updated.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Match service providers with customers based on address
• Enable bookings and in-person service fulfillment
• Send account activation SMS messages
• Send essential service emails (e.g. confirmations, updates)
• Maintain safety, security, and fraud prevention
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising or remarketing.

We do not sell your personal information.

With Other Users

To complete a booking, limited information (such as name, service details, and address) is shared between buyers and service providers.

With Service Providers

We use trusted third-party processors:

• ActiveTrail – SMS account activation
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Email delivery
• Apple App Store / Google Play – Platform distribution only (no payment processing by Expertly)

Payment details are handled entirely by Apple and Google. We do not store credit card information.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud.

4. Payments

Expertly does not process, hold, or facilitate payments between users.

All payments are conducted directly between buyers and service providers outside of the platform. Any amounts shown in the app are based on service pricing and may be approximate or indicative only.

Expertly’s role is limited to connecting users and recording booking-related information (including confirmed transactions) for display and aggregation purposes within the app.

Expertly is not responsible or liable for any payments, transfers, fees, disputes, or outcomes related to payments between users.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary:

• While your account is active
• As required for legal, accounting, or dispute resolution purposes

You may request account deletion at any time.

7. International Data Transfers

Although Expertly operates only in Israel, data may be processed on servers outside Israel (e.g. AWS). Israel is recognized by the EU as providing an adequate level of data protection.

Appropriate safeguards are used for any international transfers.
